Calling all young artists in Rancho Cordova!
Atlas Disposal is excited to launch Art with Atlas, our first student art contest celebrating creativity, sustainability, and the ideas of young students in our community.
Rancho Cordova students in grades 3–5 are invited to show what a cleaner, greener community means to them. Artwork might feature recycling, composting, reducing waste, reusing items, keeping neighborhoods clean, a favorite waste collection driver or truck, or another environmentally friendly idea that inspires them.
Three students will see their artwork on an Atlas residential truck!
One winner from each grade will be selected, and their artwork will be adapted for display on a Rancho Cordova residential collection truck.

Create Your Masterpiece
Who Can Enter
Rancho Cordova students in grades 3-5
One winner will be selected from each grade:
3rd Grade • 4th Grade • 5th Grade
What to Create
Create an original drawing showing how you can help make your community cleaner and greener.
Need inspiration? Show us how you:
- Recycle correctly
- Compost food scraps or yard trimmings
- Reduce waste
- Reuse items
- Sort waste correctly
- Keep your community clean
Artwork Requirements
- Use standard white 8.5″ × 11″ paper in landscape orientation.
- Draw with crayons, colored pencils, markers, paint, or a combination.
- Use bold colors, large shapes, and a simple scene that can be easily seen from a distance.
- Artwork must be created by the student.
- Do not use copyrighted characters, company logos, computer-generated artwork, or AI-generated artwork.
- If using words, keep them bold, short, simple, and easy to read.
- Do not put the student’s name on the artwork.
Please note: Atlas Disposal may crop, resize, or make minor production adjustments while preserving the student’s original concept.

Parents/guardians can submit a student’s artwork in one of three ways:

Take a clear, straight-on photo or scan that shows the entire artwork without shadows and email it to:

Please Include with Every Entry
- Student’s first and last name
- School name
- Grade
- Title of the drawing
- Parent/guardian name
- Parent/guardian email
- Parent/guardian phone number
Your Art Could Hit the Road!
Entries will be reviewed separately by grade based on:
Theme Connection • Creativity & Originality • Truck Visibility • Overall Effort
One winner will be selected from each grade: 3rd, 4th, and 5th
Winners will be contacted directly on November 30, 2026. Each winning design will be adapted for display on an Atlas Disposal residential collection truck serving Rancho Cordova.
