Atlas Disposal is proud to partner with the Community Food Hub (formerly the Rancho Cordova Food Locker) through two annual food drives that support local families facing food insecurity during times of greatest need.
Our first collection event, the Summer Food Drive, helps provide food for children and families during the summer months when many students no longer have access to school-provided meals. Later in the year, our Holiday Food Drive focuses on collecting items to help families during the holiday season, when community resources are needed most.
Together, these efforts help ensure our neighbors have access to nutritious food throughout the year.
Introducing the Community Food Hub: A Neighborhood Market Built for Neighbors
Atlas Disposal is proud to partner with the Community Food Hub (formerly the Rancho Cordova Food Locker) as they are beginning an exciting new chapter in serving our community.
The Community Food Hub is evolving into a welcoming neighborhood market designed to expand food access while providing families with a dignified and accessible shopping experience. Built on the values of compassion, sustainability, and community support, this innovative model is designed to better serve local families while creating a stronger, healthier community.
As the Community Food Hub prepares to open its new location later this year, Atlas Disposal is helping stock the shelves and support their mission of ensuring every neighbor has access to nutritious food when they need it most.
We invite you to take part of this exciting milestone by participating in our Food Collection Drives in 2026. Together, we can help the Community Food Hub open strongly and continue serving local families with care and dignity.
Summer Food Drive – Help Us Fight Summer Hunger
When school is out for summer, many children lose access to the meals they normally receive during the school year. For families already facing food insecurity, the summer months can be especially challenging.
That’s why Atlas Disposal is partnering with the Community Food Hub to collect nonperishable food items throughout June and July. Every donation helps provide nutritious meals for local families and children in need.
How to Donate
We’ve partnered with local businesses throughout the community to serve as convenient donation drop-off locations. Simply bring your nonperishable food donations to any participating collection site.

Most Needed Items
We are accepting quality, unopened, nonperishable food items, including:
- Canned fruits and vegetables
- Canned soup and dry soup mixes
- Flour and sugar
- Peanut butter
- Cereal and oatmeal
- Rice, quinoa, and grains
- Pasta
- Canned protein (tuna, chicken, and other meats)
- Instant mashed potatoes
- Crackers and snacks
- Canned beans
- Shelf-stable milk
- Nuts, seeds, and dried fruit
- Broths and stocks
Please Avoid: Glass Containers, Dented Cans, Expired Foods, and Opened or Partially Used Products

Later this year, Atlas Disposal will host a Holiday Food Drive to help support local families during the holiday season. Additional details will be announced as the event approaches.
