Atlas Disposal is proud to partner with the Rancho Cordova Food Locker for two community food drives to support local families facing food insecurity. Both events will take place at the Food Locker’s temporary location at Cordova Neighborhood Church and are timed around seasons when need is greatest: The First Collection Event, “Schools Out”, will be aimed at assisting children who rely on school lunches when they leave school for summer break. The following collection event “Holiday Protein Drive”, is aimed at assisting families by providing protein rich items for a variety of families who may not have the means to prepare a traditional feast.

Easy Drive-Thru Donations!
This is a drive-thru donation event, so you don’t even need to leave your car! Our happy volunteers will be ready to safely collect your donations straight from your vehicle—just drive up, pop the trunk and we’ll do the rest.

SCHOOL'S OUT FOOD DRIVE
Help us Fight Summer Hunger
When school lets out, many children who rely on school meals face food insecurity over the summer months. That’s why we’re hosting a School’s Out Food Drive—to help fill the gap and keep kids nourished all summer long.
School’s Out Food Collection Drive:

Time: 10AM – 2PM
ACCEPTABLE ITEMS INCLUDE:
- Canned fruit and veggies
- Canned Soup or Dry soup mix
- Flour/Sugar
- Peanut Butter
- Cereal & Oatmeal
- Rice, Quinoa, Grains
- Pasta
- Canned Protein (tuna, chicken)
- Instant Mashed Potatoes
- Crackers/Snack
- Canned Beans
- Powdered Drinks
- Shelf Stable milk
- Nuts, Seeds, dried fruit
- Broths and Stocks
No Glass, No Dents, No Expired Foods, No Opened Products

This holiday season, we’re launching a Holiday Protein Drive to support local families who may not have the means to prepare a traditional feast. While turkeys are a seasonal staple, not every family can accommodate them due to cost, access, or dietary needs.
We’re collecting frozen meats, plant-based proteins, canned beans, and other hearty protein options to ensure everyone can enjoy a nourishing holiday meal—no matter their circumstances. Let’s come together to lift up our neighbors and share the spirit of the season.
