Atlas Disposal is excited to invite the Rancho Cordova community to our first-ever Recycle Day, a free family-friendly event dedicated to sustainability, environmental stewardship, and responsible waste disposal.

Whether you’re dropping off household hazardous waste or simply looking for a fun community event, Recycle Day has something for everyone!

Spend the day exploring educational exhibits, meeting local sustainability organizations, participating in interactive recycling activities, touring Atlas Disposal collection trucks, and learning simple ways to reduce waste and live more sustainably.

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Drive-Through Collection

Safely dispose of your household hazardous waste without leaving your vehicle.

  • HHW Drop off service for Rancho Cordova Residents Only
  • Proof of Rancho Cordova residency is REQUIRED.
  • Collection Limit: 15 Gallons and 50lbs per vehicle

Accepted forms include: Driver’s License, Utility Bill, Other government-issued proof of residency

Residents without proof of residency will NOT be permitted to drop off materials.

Acceptable Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Items Only:

  • Antifreeze
  • Aerosols
  • Batteries
  • Car Battery
  • E-Waste
  • Fluorescent Light (Tubes and Bulbs)
  • Helium Tanks
  • LED Lights
  • Lighters
  • Paint (Latex and Oil)
  • Propane Tanks ( BBQ and Camper)
  • Vapes (No Cannabis)

Tips for a Fast & Easy Drop-Off

To help keep traffic moving, please:

✔ Have your proof of residency ready to be checked in

✔ Know what materials you’re dropping off.

✔ Remain inside your vehicle at all times.

✔ Atlas staff will unload your materials for you.

✔ Transport materials in sturdy boxes or plastic containers whenever possible to make unloading quick and safe.

Unacceptable Items

These items not listed above will NOT be accepted.

Examples include:

  • Ammunition
  • Explosives
  • Asbestos
  • Construction or demolition debris
  • Medical sharps
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Tires
  • Unknown or unidentified materials

Vehicle Restrictions

For everyone’s safety:

  • No trailers
  • No commercial vehicles
  • No oversized trucks

Residents arriving with prohibited materials or oversized vehicles will be turned away.

Once you’ve dropped off your materials, park your vehicle and enjoy everything Recycle Day has to offer! Free parking is available across the street from City Hall.

Complete the Sustainability Passport Challenge!

Visit participating booths and activities to collect stamps on your Sustainability Passport.

Meet the Atlas Disposal drivers and operators who help keep Rancho Cordova clean every day.

Explore our collection vehicles, ask questions, and climb inside a real garbage truck for an unforgettable experience.

FREE Bike Repairs with SABA

SABA offers the following repairs:

  • Safety inspections

  • Tune-ups

  • Minor repairs

  • Brake adjustments

  • Tire inflation

  • Chain maintenance

Please Note

  • Parts such as tires or tubes must be purchased separately.

  • Mechanics will gladly install purchased parts.

  • E-bike electronic repairs are not available.

  • Hydraulic brake repairs are not available.

  • Bikes requiring major repairs may receive a diagnostic report instead.
