About the Scholarship
Atlas Disposal is excited to introduce our Annual Sustainability Scholarship! We are awarding $5,000 in scholarships to Rancho Cordova high school students who demonstrate a passion for sustainability and environmental stewardship. With $1,000 awarded to a student in each of the five Rancho Cordova city council districts, this scholarship is designed to support students who are actively making a difference in their communities.
Are you leading a sustainability project at school? Advocating for waste reduction? Finding new ways to protect our planet? This is your chance to be recognized and rewarded for your dedication to a greener future!
Eligibility
- Must be a high school student
- Must be a resident of Rancho Cordova
How to Apply
At Atlas Disposal, we believe that young leaders are the key to a sustainable tomorrow. By supporting students who are dedicated to environmental stewardship, we aim to inspire real change in our community. This scholarship is our way of recognizing and empowering the next generation of sustainability champions.
Applying is simple:
Write a 500–750-word essay on one of the following Sustainability topics:
- Your Impact on Sustainability – How have you personally contributed to sustainability in your community?
- A Green Future for Rancho Cordova – Propose an environmental initiative and its potential impact.
- Environmental Leadership & Advocacy – Share how you have inspired others to adopt eco-friendly habits.
- Innovative Waste Reduction – Suggest a creative solution to reduce waste and improve sustainability.

Application Deadline:
The deadline for applying is November 28th, 2025.
- Winners will be selected in collaboration with the city council members of each Rancho Cordova district based on their passion, environmental impact, and innovative ideas for a greener future.
- Winners will be announced in December 2025.
